Beyond the Tenth Dimension: Quran and Science Unveil Cosmic Wonders

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Asalam o Alaikum. Today, we embark on a journey beyond the tenth dimension, exploring the vast wonders of the universe through the lens of science and the Quran. While our eyes perceive only three dimensions, seven more remain hidden, with the tenth being the supreme realm. This exploration takes us further, revealing divine creations that make the heart tremble with the meaning of Allah-u-Akbar.

The Journey Begins: From Earth to Space

Our journey starts with a marvel of human ingenuity: NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS) rocket, costing 550 billion Pakistani rupees for a single lift-off. Driven by curiosity for knowledge, humans send these rockets to explore the world above. From Earth’s surface—teeming with people, animals, oceans, and mountains—we ascend through the troposphere, where clouds, rain, and storms reside. Above lies the ozone layer, a shield of O3 molecules protecting us from harmful solar rays. Without it, as described in Surah Al-Kahf (18:86), people like those Zul-Qarnain encountered would suffer under unshielded sunlight, possibly due to a damaged protective layer.

Celestial Fireworks and the Kármán Line

Ascending further, we witness meteors burning in celestial fireworks, breaking into fragments that streak across the night sky. Some exegeses suggest the green curtain hiding Prophet Solomon’s horses (Surah Sad 38:31-32) could be these celestial lights, as his throne soared through the skies. Beyond lies the Kármán line, the boundary between Earth’s atmosphere and space, where air thins, rendering plane wings useless. Crossing this frontier, the sky turns black, marking Low Earth Orbit, home to 12,000 satellites like GPS systems.

High Earth Orbit and Cosmic Wonders

In High Earth Orbit, telescopes like Hubble and James Webb capture stunning images. One reveals the Quipo Superstructure, a wall of billions of galaxies, so vast that crossing it at light speed would take 1.5 billion years. Yet, this is a mere grain of sand compared to what lies ahead. In deep space, we see stars, comets with million-mile gas tails, and our solar system: the moon’s glow, Venus’s volcanoes, Mars’s red soil, Jupiter’s 95 moons and massive storm, Saturn’s golden rings, and Neptune’s 2,500 km/h winds, twice the speed of sound (Surah Al-Haqqa 69:17, referencing divine winds).

Interstellar Space: Beyond the Solar System

Beyond Neptune lies the Oort Cloud, a sphere of trillions of rocks encircling our solar system. Crossing it, we enter interstellar space, where the sun’s pull fades. Here, NASA’s Voyager 1 and 2 carry human artifacts—Quranic verses, music, and sounds of Earth—hoping to reach unknown civilizations. In this realm, stars explode in supernovas, visible even from Earth, as recorded by Chinese and Japanese monks in 1181, glowing for 185 days.

Neutron Stars and Magnetars

A supernova’s aftermath depends on the star’s size. A sun-sized star becomes a neutron star, a dense, rapidly spinning ball emitting a knocking sound, called a pulsar. Some scholars link this to Surah At-Tariq (86:1-3), where “the one who knocks” describes a blazing star, possibly a neutron star. Larger stars form magnetars, super-powerful magnets that could destroy brain cells from billions of miles away, or black holes, mysterious voids swallowing everything.

The First Sky: Al-Raqi’ya

Beyond JADES-GS-z14, the farthest visible galaxy, lies a barrier of living, animate water: the first sky, Al-Raqi’ya. Science cannot reach it, as Allah states in Surah Ar-Rahman (55:33): “If you can pass beyond the bounds of the heavens and the earth, then do so, but you cannot except with immense power.” Ibn Abbas (r.a.) describes a door, Majra, impassable without divine permission, blocking even temperature.

The Seven Heavens and Their Scale

The Prophet (PBUH) described clouds as *Annan*, irrigating even the disobedient, with the first sky 500 years above (Sahih Muslim 2791). These years may equate to millions of light-years, as a year varies across planets—88 days on Mercury, 60,190 on Neptune. The heavens are spherical, each like a ring in the desert of the next, per the Prophet’s eloquent analogy. Ibn Abbas (r.a.), interpreting Surah Al-A’raf (7:54), notes angels and creatures, known only to Allah, reside between heavens.

Sidrat al-Muntaha: The Lote Tree

The seventh heaven, Areeba, made of incomprehensible light, hosts Sidrat al-Muntaha, a tree of indescribable colors seen by the Prophet (PBUH) during the Mi’raj (Sahih Bukhari 3887). Each branch holds new worlds and countless angels, with Archangel Jibraeil (a.s.) at its center, the ultimate point of creaturely knowledge.

The Kursi and the Throne

Above Sidrat al-Muntaha begins Jannat al-Firdous, near the Kursi, which encompasses the heavens and earth (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:255). The Prophet (PBUH) likened the seven heavens to a ring in a desert compared to the Kursi, a physical creation, possibly the eighth heaven. Above it lies Allah’s Throne, the greatest creation, carried by angels resembling mountain goats, with hooves-to-ankles spanning heavens (Mustadrak Al-Hakim). The Throne’s light is 70 times brighter than the Kursi’s, which outshines stars (narrated by Akramah, r.a.).

Bahr al-Masjoor: The Blazing Sea

Beneath the Throne lies Bahr al-Masjoor, a vast, surging sea stretching from the seventh heaven to the seventh earth (Surah At-Tur 52:6). Also called Bahr al-Haywan, its waters, emerging during Noah’s flood, will revive creatures after the trumpet’s blow, submerging them 12 cubits deep (Sahih Bukhari 6528). Archangel Israfeel (a.s.), with star-like eyes, gazes at the Throne, holding the trumpet.

Conclusion

This journey beyond the tenth dimension—from Earth to the Throne—reveals the universe’s divine scale. From supernovas to Sidrat al-Muntaha, the Quran and Hadith illuminate Allah’s greatest creations, making *Allah-u-Akbar* resonate in our hearts.
